Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, have agreed to deepen cooperation during a meeting in Beijing. President Xi said China is willing to help Rwanda establish economic zones and increase food production. He said he hopes that more Chinese companies will be involved in infrastructure construction projects in Rwanda. He also reiterated that China will integrate its development plans with those of Africa. President Kagame thanked China for helping Rwandans rebuild their country. He welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in sectors such as agriculture, mining, tourism and infrastructure construction.This year marks the 46th anniversary since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
